Data talk. Let us listen what they are saying about the authority and visibility of the clinical trial search web sites. In the changing clinical trials search landscape, we need indicators and web sites performances are part of them. Like other web sites, those dedicated to the clinical trials search have to meet the challenge of the popularity (based on criteria such as authority, links and traffic) as well as the challenge of the usability (based on criteria such as design, ease of use, interactivity, innovation and content).
The following data-show is a collection of data from multiple sources: Open Site Explorer for Chart 1 and 2, Social Media Monitoring tool from KPMRS for 3, RankTracker Application from SEO PowerSuite for Chart 4 and Compete for the Visitors Chart.
All data were collected around mid March and charts can be viewed as part of the great picture in their interactive forms.
Before starting you have to know that the ages of these websites (the date of creation of the sites) are different and it is obvious that external links and authority are different, too.
Otherwise, some tools do not accept subdomains like: apps.who.int/trialsearch/ and clinicaltrials.ifpma.org.
Nevertheless, data are relevant and constitute good indicators to refer to and offer a good starting state to follow the further evolutions.
Please use Mozilla or Internet Explorer, no Safari; you can view also the images of the charts at the bottom of the page.
